It lives!
Dexter By Design by Jeff LindsayMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
It's been a while since I've read a Dexter book and I hadn't realized how much I missed them. The internal narrative of Dexter is just so much fun and I love all the alliteration he uses.
This book was a little different than the rest. Of course Dexter is narrowly escaping yet again however this time he escapes by means other than his own which is unusual. It's nice to see Dexter a little off his game and needing to be saved, especially by Astor and Cody. That is a storyline I wish the TV show would pick up. I love Dexter being the mentor to two such messed up children.
Good book! Thoroughly enjoyable.

Well it's been a while since I did an update! I have four weeks until I graduate. I'm working on my final project right now--a thematic unit lesson plan for The Hunger Games--and wrapping up schoolwork. I've got senioritsis so bad I can't stand it. I'm still student teaching and that'll go on for about 2 more weeks. I'm going to love the sleeping late and the swing into summer but I am going to miss my kids so much. I'm also gong to miss teaching. There are days of course I want to strangle them but over all I really enjoy it.
At the moment I sort of feel busier than I am I think? Or I overestimate how busy I am? I'm not sure which. I think it's more panic from worrying that something won't get done before I graduate. It's all in line and ducks in a row-ish but still plenty panicked.
On the teaching next fall front, so far nothing which isn't surprising given all the budget cutbacks that education is suffering in addition the fact that the economy still sucks for the most part. I've put several applications out and done one interview. I know that a lot of schools won't know about money until June and therefore won't be hiring until June or July so I'm worried but not entirely discouraged.
Okay, well that's all I can think of to update ya'll with.
